The Borneo Cup Yachting Challenge 2005 – the second sailing regatta in the South China Sea once again takes place between Labuan island and Miri, Sarawak’s upcoming resort city. It will kick off from the marina of Labuan Waterfront Hotel tomorrow, after the Labuan Harbour Regatta which is scheduled today. A welcoming dinner was held for the BCYC participants last night, hosted by the Minister for the Federal Territory, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad. The highlight of the 6-day BCYC will be the 100-nautical mile Labuan-Miri Passage Race, in which the fastest boat is expected to finish in less than 20 hours.
