A committee of the Harbor Commission on Monday voted to enact a 5 percent increase in the port’s shipping services fees, including rates for using docks and storage of containers. It’s the first such increase in the port’s general tariff since December 2003, when the rate was also raised 5 percent. The commission is expected to vote on the tariff increase at its meeting Monday.
