This morning Ellen MacArthur received her Damehood from the HRH Queen, Ellen MacArthur was joined by others including, Private Johnson Beharry, from The Princess of Wale’s regiment, who was decorated with the Victoria Cross for his bravery during the war in Iraq. Ellen MacArthur received the Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for her record-breaking, solo circumnavigation this winter. At just 28, Ellen MacArthur is the youngest person ever to received the award.
