The chief executive officer of an Iowa shipping company has appealed his conviction on charges of conspiracy to defraud the government and falsifying records to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta. Rick Dean Stickle’s attorney filed the appeal April 7. U.S. District Judge Allan Gold sentenced Stickle, 53, on April 1 in Miami to 33 months in prison and fined him $60,000.
