Starting today, 25 medium-sized Coast Guard cutters will be repaired at Baltimore’s Coast Guard Shipyard. Commanding officer Captain Ron Rabago says the project will take eight to ten years. He says, when completed , the aging ships will be equipped with the latest navigation equipment, so they can stay in use longer. The ships are 210 feet and 270 feet long.
