Fishermen are being urged not to sign a heads of agreement for leasing berths at the yet-to-be constructed Robe marina until more details about the costs are known. Robe Marina Corporation has made an offer to fishermen, which if signed would “in-principle” bind them to a number of costs, including some dredging of Lake Butler and an annual maintenance levy. But commercial fisherman Peter Risely is hesitant to sign and is urging other fishermen to hold off for the time being.
