Maritime authorities are looking to tomorrow’s spring tide off the coast of East London to assist in refloating the beached bulk carrier Kiperousa.
“Weather permitting and progress permitting, the first real attempt to refloat the Kiperousa will be made on Wednesday because the spring high tide is on Wednesday – that’s when we want to float her off if possible,” SA Maritime Safety Authority (Samsa) spokesman Captain Peter Kroon said.
