Transas is glad to announce the signing of the new contract with Palmali Shipping, one of the largest shipping companies in Turkey, for the procurement of the navigational equipment set for 5 vessels. The sum of the contract runs up to more than 1 mln EURO. The vessels are dry cargo ships planned for construction in Nizhni Novgorod, at Krasnoe Sormovo shipyard, in the framework of newly launched RSD17 project.
The equipment planned for the supply will include the very latest navigational technology, namely GMDSS, ARPA radar, VDR, UAIS, GPS, SSAS, echo-sounder, log, gyrocompass and Electronic Chart Display & Information System (ECDIS). The complex allows defining the location of the vessel with more accuracy and reliability, informing the crew about the peculiarities of the route in due time, displaying the changes in fairway marking along the route, etc.
