Aker Yards Piikkio has entered into contract with Leirvik Module Technology from Norway for the delivery of modular cabins for living quarters of drilling platforms. Leirvik Module Technology AS is one of the leading suppliers of living quarters for offshore industry. They have decided to use modular cabins of Aker Yards Piikkio in the construction of living quarters for two Aker H6-e drilling rigs. These sixth generation semi-submersible drilling rigs will be constructed by Aker Kvaerner Stord in Norway, and they will be the worlds largest drilling rigs.
