Seventy-three sailors were rescued following a mid-sea collision between a container vessel MV Rajiv Gandhi of the Shipping Corporation of India and the Indian naval ship INS Prahar, about 20 nautical miles west off the Mormugao harbour late Friday night. The 73 sailors on board INS Prahar were rescued before the naval vessel sank, while the MV Rajiv Gandhi is currently docked at Mormugao harbour.
