A 40,000-tonne cargo ship which ran aground during low tide 10 miles off the coast of Dover has been refloated. The Panamanian-registered vessel was heading for Brazil and not carrying cargo when it got stuck at Varne Bank. An inspection took place to make sure the Lowlands Maine was not taking on board any water. The vessel then refloated during high tide.
