Ericsson helmsman Guillermo Altadill will not sail again until the Portsmouth In Port race after exploratory surgery revealed unknown complications to a finger he broke during the first night of racing out of Spain. Altadill was helming when a big wave smashed him into the steering wheel and his finger was broken. Despite having the broken bone re-set, damage to two of his tendons went undetected.
