Unions have called for a fair fight for a new $2 billion shipbuilding contract after Williamstown shipbuilder Tenix last year lost its $6 billion warship contract to Adelaide. Tenix is in the running for the new contract to produce two amphibious landing ships for the Australian Defence Force. A consortium of Tenix and Spanish shipbuilder Navantia will be competing against Sydney-based firm ADI, which will team up with French designer Armaris.
