Activity at the Halterm container terminal was stepped up a notch Monday as Maersk Line resumed a scheduled weekly container service through the Port of Halifax. Some 80 to 90 longshoremen, checkers and gear men were busy with over 600 container lifts as the Maersk Duisburg, a vessel with a capacity of 3,800 TEUs (20-foot-equivalent units), made its inaugural call at the port.
