Oil production in Nigeria will be taking an upward leap as Erha deepwater production starts up, coming several months after Bonga, the first deepwater project in Nigeria went into production. Details of the commencement of the Erha production were not given but records show that Erha deepwater development is located approximately 60 miles (97 kilometers) offshore Nigeria in 3,900 feet (1,200 meters) of deepwater.
