Stuck yacht makes it to marina for final assembly and tests

The 157-foot long yacht Barchetta, trapped on a Vancouver waterfront street since Thursday, arrived at its marina Monday. The $25 million craft is in its dry dock but won’t go into the water for several days. Workers from Christensen Shipyard will install propellers, the bow thruster and other underwater attachments before lowering the yacht into the Christensen company’s Columbia River marina, just upstream from Marine Park. Then, a period of sea trials will be conducted in the river.
