The UAE ship released by Somali pirates earlier this week after a $25,000 ransom payoff has been forced to halt its long journey home because of bad weather. The MV Al Taj and her crew are somewhere off the Omani coast waiting out a violent storm. The ship is believed to be still unescorted and US Central Command states it has no knowledge of the ship’s current whereabouts.
