Lloyd’s of London, the big maritime insurer, has raised premiums for commercial ships visiting ports in Yemen and Sri Lanka. Rebels and Islamic terrorists have turned waters around those countries into “areas of perceived enhanced risks,” the Times of London reported Monday. Earlier this month, nearly 70 people were killed in a sea battle between the Tamil Tigers and Sri Lankan government forces after the rebels attacked a naval transporter and sank another vessel.
