‘MV Rio Lawrance’, the country’s fastest ever container vessel, is scheduled to arrive in the Chittagong port on or before May 23. The QC Shipping has added this high-tech vessel to its fleet with the aim of speedy shipment of export cargo, especially ready-made garments to Singapore and Malaysia. Built in July 2005 and with a speed of 20 nautical miles per hour, the ship will take three days to reach Singapore from the port-city.
