Damen: Naming ceremony in Nigeria

On Thursday May 18, 2006 the naming ceremony of two Damen ASD Tugs 3110 ‘Smit Owena’ and ‘Smit Diare’ has taken place on the Bonny Island LNG export terminal in Nigeria. Ladies Sponsors were Mrs. De Diare, chairman of Smit Nigeria Ltd and Mrs. Nneka Isilebo, wife of the NLNG Operations Manager. With

On Thursday May 18, 2006 the naming ceremony of two Damen ASD Tugs 3110 ‘Smit Owena’ and ‘Smit Diare’ has taken place on the Bonny Island LNG export terminal in Nigeria. Ladies Sponsors were Mrs. De Diare, chairman of Smit Nigeria Ltd and Mrs. Nneka Isilebo, wife of the NLNG Operations Manager. With the arrival of these 60 ton bollard pull tugs, Smit Nigeria Ltd. now has 6 sister vessels to cope with the increasing demand of LNG exports out of Nigeria, mainly bound for Europe.
