Singapore’s clipper has beaten nine others in the latest leg of the Clipper 05-06 Round the World Yacht Race. The “Uniquely Singapore” clipper, which was in eighth position before the start, crossed the finish line first. On May 30, just before 10pm Singapore time, Uniquely Singapore took their first win by topping Race 8. The Singapore boat won after sailing for two weeks in the 3,540-kilometre race from Victoria B.C. to Panama.
