The latest launch from Dutch superyacht builder Bloemsma & van Breemen, has completed sea trials and begun its shake down cruise.
The 27.31 metre motoryacht, called Griffioen, has been built to the plans of De Vries Lentsch Design, which was also responsible for the naval architecture; premium Dutch quality input was ensured by another leading player in this long range yacht, the interior design was created by Felix Buytendijk.
With its classic lines and bold canoe stern, Griffioen is set to kick-start a revival of the traditional De Vries Lentsch designs so beloved of many connoisseurs. Nonetheless, the materials, technologies and equipment used are all resolutely modern. With an aluminium hull and superstructure, Griffioen was built to Lloyds and MCA regulations. She has hydraulic foldable carbon fibre masts, which ensures the maximum height of six metres can be achieved if canal cruising or bridge passing is required.
