HONOLULU (AP) _ An investigation by the U-S Coast Guard says negligence by the captain caused a cargo ship to run aground near Barbers Point Harbor last year. The 555-foot Cape Flattery hit a reef on February Second, 2005. The ship was moved eight days later after the removal of 128,000 gallons of fuel and about 9,000 tons of granulated cement. Significant amounts of the ship’s cargo — granular cement — were spilled onto the reef in the process.
