The TT-Line says the increase comprises a $15 per person fuel surcharge for each Bass Strait crossing. That raises the cheapest seat on the Spirits to $101 for an overnight voyage. The board flagged the fare increase earlier this week, when it announced the demise of the loss-making Sydney ferry Spirit of Tasmania III.
