Daewoo: Introduction of New Super Transporters

Two new transporters, which each consist of 128 wheels and are capable of carrying a 1,000 ton block, were introduced in May, 2006. Two new transporters, which each consist of 128 wheels and are capable of carrying a 1,000 ton block, were introduced in May, 2006. The first mission for these transporters was carried out on the 5th of June by moving 1,366 tons of the super block of container ship H.N.4115. From next month it will be possible for the two transporters to carry the equivalent weight of a 3,000 ton block, if operated in conjunction with two other transporters which would each carry a 500 ton block.
