Brazil’s federal energy company Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) has plans to start operations of its US$895mn, P-52 semi-submersible platform in early 2007, the company said in a statement. Petrobras hired Brazilian shipyard Brasfels to build the topside. Singaporean shipbuilders Keppel Fels built the hull, which arrived in Brazil in March.
