Clipper 05-06: Jamaica bound

At 1730 local time in blazing sunshine but virtually zero wind the last boats slipped lines from Shelter Bay Marina at the Caribbean entrance to the Panama Canal. The boats will be motoring overnight before a Le Mans start first thing tomorrow morning. Although a more low key departure than some, there was an enthusiastic farewell from residents and staff at the marina, and an impromptu water fight as New York, the last boat to leave, gave three cheers to the race team before pelting them with water bombs.
