The drag race continues towards Jamaica, with the fleet tightly bunched in very similar conditions. Durban has the advantage at the moment, closely followed by, well, everybody, really. Victoria has gone slightly further downwind and is the most northerly boat, and Ewan Hind, her skipper, will be hoping for a wind shift to allow them to come back on track and keep the northerly gain. Joff Bailey and the crew of New York will be pleased with their overnight run, which has given them (together with Singapore) the highest 12 hour run of 104 miles.
