Malta Maritime Authority (MMA) report excellent progress by Transas in the installation of the Malta VTMIS. On the 5th of June 2006, Transas Limited started physical installation work on the first radar site. Preparation, planning and project management tasks have been progressing as planned since the contract was signed in February 2006, and work at the Fort Madliena radar site began more than 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
