Multraship has added twin-schottel tug Hamtun (1985, 3.500 ihp, ex-Red Funnel/Adsteam) to its fleet. The tug has been renamed Multratug 16 and will mainly be deployed for harbour towage services in the ports of Terneuzen and Flushing and on the Terneuzen-Ghent Canal.
Earlier this month the former Dutch lifeboat Johannes Frederik arrived in her new homeport Terneuzen. Multraship bought this fast-rescue tender to replace the Multrajet, which was sold to the Congolese Ministry of Health. Johannes Frederik has been renamed Multraship Responder and will mainly be used for emergency response services in the River Scheldt area.
