HEALTH inspectors will rip up carpets and furnishings in a ship on which 100 people were struck down with a vomiting bug last weekend, the third such outbreak on the boat. The Black Prince returned to Leith, Edinburgh, early yesterday after about 100 of its 393 passengers fell ill with a stomach bug. They were thought to be suffering from a norovirus bug similar to the virus which hit 136 passengers on the Fred Olsen vessel at the start of June. Fred Olsen cruise bosses say they will be stripping out and replacing carpets and removing any soft furnishings on board, which they believe may harbour the virus.
