Clipper 05-06: WA approaches Liverpoool

Westernaustralia.com is currently the closest boat to Liverpool. Liverpool Novia Scotia that is, just over 100 nautical miles to the north north east of them, no doubt an indication of the origins of some of the early settlers in this part of the world. The earliest settlers were attracted as much by the bounty of the oceans as by the attractions of the new world, and the nutrient rich waters where the Labrador current and gulf stream compete continues to attract wildlife despite centuries of over exploitation. Whales, sharks, turtles and dolphins have been reported by several of the boats.
