Samsung Heavy Industries(SHI) received a plaque of appreciation from the UK based energy firm BG for achieving 4 million hour zero accident record. It held a ceremony to congratulate this on July 11 at the guest house, during which President Lee Ki Ho of Geoje shipyard received an appreciation plaque from BG.
During the period of three years and nine months, SHI had built three LNG ships without a single case of accident. BG said that “SHIs zero accident record contributed to providing other shipbuilders a new standard.
