Iran and Russia are cooperating in building four cargo ships. The vessels are expected to significantly expand Iran’s cargo delivery capacity in the Caspian Sea. Iranian engineers and technicians are supervising building of the vessels of Iran Anzali, Iran Noshahr, Iran Amirabad and Iran Turkman at Russia’s Volgograd shipyard, noted Jamshid Khalili, the managing director of the Caspian Sea Shipping Line Co. He added that the 6,750-ton ships are planned to be delivered to the nation’s fleet in the Caspian Sea respectively from December, this year.
