Aker Yards has signed a contract for the construction of two bunkering tankers for delivery in March and June 2008. The vessels are similar to those delivered by Aker Yards in 2005 and 2006.

The two merchant vessels will be built at Aker Yards in Braila, Romania and are ordered by Maritima in France. Maritima is owned by Compagnie Fluviale de Transport (CFT), a French leading company in European river transport, specializing in bunkering for ocean-going vessels.

Total value of the order is approximately EUR 20 million.

Aker Yards has previously delivered three similar vessels to Maritima in 2005 and 2006.
