The Port State Control (PSC) area of BLACK SEA MOU has announced that member states will conduct a Concentrated Inspection Campaign on MARPOL Annex Reg. 16+17 (Oily water separator arrangements) on board all visited ships. The campaign will last from October 1st until December 31st 2006 in the region. Masters have to expect that during their regular inspections PSC will put a special focus on the oily water separator, its arrangements and its proper usage of the crew.
