A Danish-Bahrain joint venture company, which will run Bahrain’s ports, will invest $62 million in new equipment over the coming two years, it was revealed yesterday.
APM Terminals Bahrain, a joint venture between Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Holdings (20pc) and Maersk A/S, a company fully owned by the Danish A P Moller-Maersk Group (80pc), has been awarded a concession to operate the port and marine services in Mina Salman and later Khalifa bin Salman Port in Hidd. An official agreement is expected to be signed soon.
