The German-built Coastal Renaissance, B.C. Ferries’ new Super C-class vessel, began construction yesterday. The Coastal Renaissance is the first of three Super C-class vessels being built in Germany, and is expected to replace aging ferries between Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay in 2008.
