The Government has formed a committee to oversee the privatisation of Container Terminal at Mombasa port.
The Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Finance, Mr Joseph Kinyua said in an interview with the Transport that the government is not privatising the entire operations of the port as such, but is only keen to privatize a section of it. “We are privatizing the operations of the cargo so as to ease the movement at the port” he said.
