BUNKER fuel continues to leak from two tanks of the sunken M/T Solar 1, but only in “very small” quantities, a Coast Guard official said.
The leaks on the tanks, each with a capacity of 200,000 liters, were discovered by the remote-operated submersible from the Japanese salvage ship Shin Sei Maru, which took video footage of the tanker’s wreckage for the second day on Friday, said Captain Luis Tuason, Cost Guard Western Visayas chief.
