Visitors will have the chance to sail on the world’s largest tall ship for the first time when she returns to Southend Pier next month.
The four-masted Russian-based, Sedov, is coming to the town – one of the crew’s favourite locations – from Thursday, October 19 to Sunday, October 22.
For the first time in Britain, people will be offered the chance to take a trip aboard under sail.
Will Lower, director of European Maritime Events, which organised the Sedov’s visit, said her schedules had been changed especially to enable her to come to Southend.
