A Scottish-led international team of engineers yesterday unveiled the car ferry of the future, a giant capable of carrying 2000 passengers at 38 knots and, perhaps, saving Europe’s shipbuilding industry. Designers from 13 nations have spent six years perfecting Fast Ropax thanks to revolutionary software developed and managed at Strathclyde University.
