The Kikeh oil field, situated off shore Sabah, will be on schedule for oil production in 2007, Technip Senior Vice President for Business Development, Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad, said Friday.
The oil platform would be ready for drilling works in December this year, he told reporters at the launch of the SPAR, a Deep Draft Floater Water oil platform at the Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) shipyard here in Pasir Gudang.
Technip is the engineering and technological firm for the SPAR oil platform while MMHE is the builder of the platform.
