MACKENZIE’S Tug Service has welcomed an addition to its fleet with the arrival of a new tugboat from China. Designed by Dutch company Damen, the $6.5million vessel arrived at the Esperance Port Authority last week after a brief stopover in Broome.
MacKenzie’s Tug Service Owner Fud MacKenzie said the new tug was put into operation this week after some minor maintenance issues were addressed upon its arrival.
The tug will replace two smaller boats currently used by the service to move vessels in and out of the port.
