Aker Yards to build another two vessels for AP. Moller – Maersk AS

Maersk AS has announced that they will exercise the option with Aker Yards to build another two Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS). The value of the contract is approx. NOK 670 million. Maersk AS has announced that they will exercise the option with Aker Yards to build another two Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS). The value of the contract is approx. NOK 670 million.

The two vessels will be sister vessels to the eight Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels ordered by AP. Moller – Maersk AS in March 2006. The total contract value of the 10 vessels is approx. NOK 3.3 billion. The series of AHTS vessels is of Vik & Sandvik design, VS 472. Deliveries are scheduled for 3rd and 4th quarter 2009 from Aker Yards in Norway. The vessels are of approx. 73.2 m length, 20.0 m breadth and 9.1 m depth moulded.
