Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it has received – in close co-operation with Siemens Marine Solutions – an order worth more than 20 million euro for the environment friendly technical solutions in four container vessels (capacity: 5300 containers each) for German ship owner Hermann Buss GmbH & Cie.

HDW-Hagenuk Schiffstechnik (HST), part of Imtech Marine & Offshore, has received the order.Imtech will be responsible for the electrical engineering and will deliver and commissioning all equipment for the electric and electronic disciplines. The package will include the medium and low voltage switchgear and a unique environment friendly combination of a shaft generator and booster motor that will optimise the fuel consumption of the vessel, and therefore minimise CO2 emissions.
