RasGas (II) has delivered its first LNG cargo to Mexico under a spot sale agreement with Shell western LNG. The cargo loaded on to the LNG tanker Fuwairit reached the Mexican terminal de LNG de Altamira on October Saturday. The Fuwairit left Ras Laffan on September 16, a RasGas spokesman said yesterday. The voyage of 22 days over a distance of 9,915 nautical miles was routed through the Suez Canal and the Straits of Gibraltar to the Terminal de LNG de Altamira, which is the first LNG receiving terminal in Mexico. The terminal became operational only in August this year.
