FOLLOWING the deregulation of the Nigerian ports industry, the Federal Government has called on foreign investors to build and owned shipyards on a 100% ownership basis in Nigeria.

Disclosing this recently in Lagos while receiving some American journalists in her office, the Director-General of the National Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NAMASA), Mrs Mfon Usoro said that the government was ready to give concession where necessary to encourage the establishment of such shipyards which will bring about an accelerated development of the nation
