Imtech (technical service provider in Europe) recently fitted the 25th ship with an innovative diesel-electric propulsion system. This new environment-friendly technology allows ships to improve combustion and thus consume less fuel. The result is significantly lower emissions of environmentally harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides (Nox). Within a few years, Imtech has received orders worth more than 100 million euro for this cutting-edge technology.
