COSCO signed a newbuilding contract with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd. for 32000 DWT timber vessels. A grand ceremony was held in Fuzhou for this event, plus a Christening for “COSCO WUYISHAN”. Mr. Huang Xiaojing, Governor of Fujian Province and Capt. Wei Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO, attended the ceremony. Mr.Xu Huixing, Managing Director of COSCO Guangzhou and Mr. Dong Jingzhi, President of Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd., signed the building contract on behalf of each party.
